Lola

Meet the Newest Member of our Family

"Lola"

She looks big in this picture, but she is actually tiny

Lola is a "Pom-Chi" Half Pomeranian and Half Chihuahua. We {LOVE} Her. She has such a cute-spunky-playful-snugglie  personality. She is so attached and hates to be left alone. When we leave the house she cries and howls, and i have to admit we are pretty attached to her cuteness too! (even Luis loves her)
She is only 8 weeks old so we are still trying to get her potty trained and keep her from chewing on E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G. She is just a Pup!

*The Story of Lola and how we found her*
Last Friday we took Jasmine and Jenifer to go look at our new house, and while driving there they kept reminding Luis that my birthday was coming up in a couple weeks, and that he PROMISED he would get me a dog for my birthday. (I'm pretty sure he was hoping we had forgotten all about his promise) They kept on him all day, and after they saw the house they were especially insistent that we really needed a dog now because we are going to live in a house. Jenifer even told him "Daddy if you don't get Ash-e-lee a dog for her birthday we are going to get a lot of balloons and scare you with them" (Luis HATES balloons) hehehe. So just to make them happy while we were driving home he started looking up "puppies" on craigslist, and the first one that came up was this 8 week old "Pom-Chi", which is crazy because i told him i either wanted a Pomeranian or a Chihuahua, and this one was BOTH!! So we called about her, and the people who had her needed a home for her Right away and they said they would take $40.00 for her (great deal!!). It was 8:30pm but the lady said it wasn't too late to come look at her. We were actually on our way to the Red Rock to go cosmic bowling, and the house where the puppy was at was right by the Red Rock, It worked out {{Perfect}}!! The whole way there we were talking about what we would do/say if we liked the puppy or didn't like the puppy.  If we liked her we were going to say HOW CUTE she was and twirl our hair (girls hehe) and if we didn't like her i was going to ask Jasmine what she thought of her and she was going to say she wanted a "bigger" dog....  Luckily we didn't have to say any of those because we fell in love with her {instantly}!!! The girls didn't even care that we weren't going to be able to go cosmic bowling... all they wanted to do was take the puppy home and play with her!

Prayer

I am SO Amazed at the Power of Prayer.
On my last post i mentioned Luis and I were trying to find a house to rent, and I had even posted pictures of the one that we were hoping to get and the one I  Fell in Love with! During the past few weeks of searching we have really been praying to Heavenly Father asking him to guide and direct us to the right home for us, and the right home that will fit us financially also.
We were so excited because we thought we found the perfect house for us, and we couldn't wait to hear back from the Realtor to let us know if we were approved or not. We were SO excited.
Yesterday morning i got a phone call from one of the guys i do Quickbooks for, and he told me that his friend had a house in Anthem that he just bought as an investment home and he was looking for someone to occupy it, and he was asking for $100.00 cheaper rent than what we were going to get at the other house. So i agreed to go look at the house with him that evening. After i hung up the phone with him i was kind of disappointed because i had {my heart set} on the other house, but after a few minutes something clicked inside me and was like HELLO this is an answer to your prayers. I could feel the spirit so strong and I knew that this was an answer to our prayers. I was so emotional because it felt so good to finally be in tune with the Spirit. It is also very comforting to be reassured that Heavenly Father does hear and answer our prayers.
After work my husband and i went and looked at the house, and it was incredible we could not believe they were asking as little of rent as they are, and it has a HUGE backyard (thats all Luis wants so he can BBQ and work in the yard :) )We knew it was the right one for us.
We finally got the phone call from the Realtor letting us know we were approved for the other home, and we had to let them know that we decided to go with a different property.
I am just so amazed by the power of prayer. I know that no matter what problems we face, if we ask in Faith to our Heavenly Father for his help and guidance, he will hear and answer our prayers. I Promise you that. Prayer is a great gift that he gave to us. I have been reassured that it is real by the power of the Holy Ghost, and I have gained a stronger testimony because of my experience.

Hunting for a House to Rent

For the past few weeks My Husband and I have been searching for a house to rent.  We are so tired of living in an apartment and really want to be able to live in a house. We aren't ready to "buy" a house yet... so we chose to rent. We have looked at quite a few, and most of them were not what we are looking for. But on Friday our real estate agent sent me over a house to look at and We Fell {IN LOVE} with it! It would be Perfect for us! We submitted our application for it yesterday, and cant wait to find out if we are approved or not. It isn't in the location we were hoping for, but it is located in Southern Highlands (which i didn't even know existed) and i actually love the area!! We have been going back and forth about moving, because we REALLY Love. Love. Love. Our "Warm Springs Ward", and there just aren't any homes for rent in our ward boundaries. But we feel like it is time to move out of our apartment, and we spoke with the Bishop yesterday and he said it would be okay if we still stayed in the ward until we go through the Temple.  Which i am so happy about because we have been working with our bishop since we got married and would really like to finish everything with him and share going to the temple with him and our ward.

Here are some pictures of our {hopefully} new home! :)

Our 9 Second Door Slammer

This Spring we spent a lot of our weekends DRAG RACING, and i couldn't have been happier about it. There is nothing like an Early Morning at the Race Track, Getting the Truck ready to race, Smelling the Racing Fuel in the air, and eating a yummy breakfast burrito!! But most of all the Best thing about being at the race track is the time i get to spend with My Dad.  We both share the love and passion of racing (I get it from him) he has taught me everything i know about Cars/Racing, and i am sure i will forever be learning from him! I just love the bonding time i get to spend with my Dad.  Right now we are on a break from Racing because the track here in Vegas is closed during the month July because it is way too Hot! The season starts up again at the end of August. I CANT WAIT! but this time.. instead of early morning races... we will be racing at Night time, and i also LOVE Night Races. Late Nights at the Race Track with my family is the Best!
Is he not the Coolest Dad Ever!?!?
